I think I’m probably on decision number 5678, 456 this month alone. What to get everyone for Christmas including answering requests from well meaning family members about what everyone else in the family would like too. What picky bits to buy for our little Christmas get together with pals (chicken katsu spring rolls- yes please)! Whether to get the kids matching pjs to open on Christmas eve. Do I have enough toilet roll for everyone who is coming to stay over the festive period?
I find them so bloody exhausting and yet they just keep coming don’t they?
That’s why i’m doing you a solid and eliminating the need for any future decision making when it comes to your garden, in my new programme The Seasonal Sessions.
I’ll do all the research and make all the decisions for you about what to prune when and how much and when to water your pots. So that you can just grab an activity from your bespoke care plan and get straight out in the garden and do it. And dare I say actually enjoy the time you spend out there pottering with your plants.
And then I’ll come to your garden once a season to show you how to do the activities on your care plan. So you don’t have to waste any precious time making a decision about which Youtube video to follow. Because let me tell you now- they are not all created equal.
As modern women we’re bloody tired of making the decisions and sometimes we just want someone to tell us what to do. So we can get it done yes, but also so it doesn’t use up any of our precious brain power. That shock horror, we might want to use on something that is enjoyable for us. Reading a book perhaps or having a kitchen disco with the family.
And you know the best bit, is that time spent gardening will not only be enjoyable once you feel confident you know what you’re doing. But it will actually increase your energy levels and give you the headspace you need so that you can have more fun with those around you. So you don’t constantly feel less like a spent Christmas tree kept too close to the radiator, without a sniff of water, for the entirety of advent.
It serves the patriarchy to keep us stuck in making decisions for everyone around us. Because if we’re all up in our heads overthinking about what 3 pack of M&S socks to buy our father-in-law for Christmas, we don’t have the headspace to think about what things we might prefer to spend our time on that will bring us joy.
And I want you to have more joy in your life in 2025, simple as that. It starts in your garden, with me there to make the decisions and guide you as you grow your confidence in the garden.
I also do gift vouchers that can be used towards any of my services so if you want to make others decision making easier when it comes to getting you a gift- get them to drop me an email (kendall@adventureswithflowers.com) with the amount they’d like to spend and i’ll sort the rest.
What decision do you have to make at Christmas time that you really wish you didn’t? Let me know in the comments.
