Ah the heady scent of sweet peas floating on the breeze on a warm summers day. Nothing better in my opinion.

Pretty easy to grow from seed, but due to them being started off early in the season they can grow leggy (too tall and too thin). We’re always aiming for stocky seedlings as they have better root systems and stronger stems to support the weight of flowers. the ways to achieve that are plenty of light when growing and not too much warmth.

But whether your sweet peas have got a certain Kate Moss vibe about them or not, there’s one trick that you can do to make sure your plants are strong and will be able to withstand the weight of those gorgeous brightly coloured flowers.

Watch this weeks episode of Adventures with Flowers TV to see what it is and how to do it!
