Things to do this week in your garden- 25th August 2024
Mindful Gardening and Floristry activities to calm your mind and soothe your soul
We’re on the home straight ladies.
I find myself in the strange juxtaposition between wanting the summer holidays to be over so I have some routine back, and also not wanting the season of colour and abundance in the garden to end.
The single best thing that I have done for myself this holiday has been creating some routine in amongst the chaos and that has been in the garden. I committed at the start of the holidays to finding some time for myself to get out in my garden every day because I knew that it was the only way I wouldn’t end up overwhelmed and frustrated by the end of the 6 weeks.
It hasn’t been easy. In previous holidays I’ve felt so exhausted at the end of a full day of entertaining the kids or cramming as much work as humanly possible into the days where I have childcare that I haven’t felt much like getting off the sofa.
So this summer I decided to do things a little differently. Getting out in the garden first thing before the day gets waylaid with trips to the park, plotting space in my work diary to get out in the garden, even if its just for 5 minutes, has meant that I have felt way more on a level.
If you’d like some help to create a regular routine for yourself then here are you options:
🌱 For 1:1 accountability my Garden Goals package is ideal (ask me about the special offer I’m currently running).
🌱 For group accountability then joining the Seed as a paid member is for you. This month we’ve held members accountable to take time for themselves pruning back evergreen shrubs and clearing a patch of stubborn bind weed to name just a few! You can upgrade here.
