Things to do this week in your garden- 17th March 2024
Mindful Gardening and Floristry activities to calm your mind and soothe your soul
I can feel the warmth of the sun streaming on to my face through the window. Hear the birds tweeting to each other as I type.
Now the sun is rising earlier i’m finding i’m waking up naturally at about 6.30am. Probably also has something to do with the fact that the baby is finally sleeping a bit better (she’s nearly 2) and that i’m actually going to bed at a decent time.
My cup of tea is steaming next to me on the bedside table.
I’ve always been good at carving out the time to have a lie in once a week on a weekend. It started when Arwen was young and I was like a zombie all week staggering towards that one solitary lie in on a weekend. Dave and I have kept it up-Saturday morning until 8am is my time and Sunday until 8am is his.
Now i’m waking earlier i’m enjoying using my lie in time to write or read a book. I’ve just finished Weyward by Emilia Hart which I adored, incase you’re looking for a new tome. If I had to describe it in 3 words it would be nature, sisterhood and witchy.
Sorry got to go, the kids have just appeared in my bedroom and started performing an Easter show! One of them’s wearing a head torch so it promises to be interesting at least!
For some added light relief and some time for you this week, here’s this weeks mindful gardening activities.
