The sun hasn’t yet risen but the soft padding of footsteps descends the stairs amongst whispers of excitement.

The gasp of delight escapes the lips of my children as they see the advent calendars adorning the kitchen table.

The Seed is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Giggles and excitement surround us as they open the first door, peering inside to retrieve the treasure.

And so begins the countdown to the big day, that will bring presents yes, but also love-filled squeezes with family, silly games and no doubt the odd row!

I’m really excited for Christmas, and the advent calendar ritual and of course my sold out wreath courses, have helped hugely with that.

To see women arrive in my workshop doubting themselves and their ability to make something beautiful. To seeing them leaving, wreath in hand beaming with pride and brimming with confidence that can’t help but spill out into other areas of their lives.

This is the power of spending time in nature with the right guidance and it’s how I want you to feel about your garden. Which is why I created The Seasonal Sessions and the Seed.

Both designed to get you feeling confident that you know what you’re doing in your garden but with different levels of input from me.

I’d be delighted to show you the way in 2025.

In case friends and family members want to contribute to your gardening adventure I offer Gift vouchers in increments of £50 (email me on kendall@adventureswithflowers.com) or you can send them the link in the button below to get a year of group support in the Seed.
