Things to do this week in your garden- May Week 3

I received an email this week that really triggered me. I could feel those familiar feelings or comparisonitis swirling around in my tummy as my mind told me over and over again that I wasn’t good enough to want what the people described in the email had.

The Seed is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Luckily I am currently working with a mentor who reminded me that I’m on my own path and encouraged me to look back over my journey so far to see what I have achieved alongside all the things life has thrown at me (a second baby, a global pandemic, an ADHD diagnosis and losing my wonderful dad).

This week is the most comparison inducing week in the gardening calendar. The horticultural elite will be parading around Chelsea Flower Show supposedly encouraging us all to get gardening well by……..staring at show gardens.

The single most effective way I’ve found to get people gardening is by actually getting them in their gardens. With some simple activities that are designed specifically to help them quiet their minds and make them feel better.

So if you actually want to get gardening, which I presume you do because you’re here. Then upgrade to paid, get started with this weeks activities and let me be your mentor. So when those all too common feelings of not good enoughness raise their ugly heads, I’ll be there to remind you how far you’ve come and get you back in the garden.
