Things to do this week in your garden- 27th October 2024
Mindful Gardening and Floristry activities to calm your mind and soothe your soul
I’m celebrating Christmas today! Our wider family has just got too big to be able to host everyone at ours at actual Christmas so we are all heading to my Mum’s this weekend to celebrate ‘Mockmas’. We’re basically just getting together and eating turkey, no pressies or anything, just a chance to be together with the ones we love.
I think it’s my favourite thing about Christmas is getting to spend time all together with people I adore. Maybe because it happens so infrequently. God knows my sensory sensitivities take an absolute bashing and I need plenty of alone time afterwards to recuperate. But there isn’t anything better than proper belly laughing with the ones you love, in my opinion.
Now i’m not naive enough to presume that for everyone this is their given family. Because I also have family members that I choose not to see ever because of the way they treat me, and I sure as shit haven’t got time to waste on people who can’t treat me with the same respect and love that I show them.
But whoever your loved ones are, I hope you get some time to celebrate the joy of being alive with them this festive season.
If you can’t get together physically but fancy doing something together virtually then I am running an Online Mindful Christmas wreath-making masterclass on the 1st December and would be delighted to create a fun, festive experience for you and your loved ones.
Or perhaps you can spend some time out in nature together doing some mindful gardening and enjoying the change of seasons. There’s a particularly special activity that would be perfect to do together in this weeks mindful gardening activities below.
If you need inspiration and guidance from me to get gardening regularly you can upgrade below and come and join our gang of women reclaiming daily time for them so that they can actually enjoy their gardens and find more joy in their every day.
