Things to do this week in your garden- 28th July 2024
Mindful Gardening and Floristry activities to calm your mind and soothe your soul
My brain feels like it’s on a washing machine spin cycle. I have planned the summer holidays to within an inch of their lives, so why do I still feel discombobulated?
It hit me last week like a lightning bolt. This summer is the first i’ll be navigating without the routine that helps me to stay on a level during term time. Sure i’ve managed school holidays since I put this ADHD-brain-friendly routine in place, but they’ve only been a max of two weeks. And the thought of not being able to swim, journal or garden in the small pockets of time I claim for myself terrifies me.
Having lived 36 years of my life pushing and pushing myself to fit into the way others told me I should live my life, I’m really proud of the way i’ve finally worked out what works for me. And now I’ll be knowingly out of routine for the next 6 weeks and i’m feeling a bit overwhelmed already.
I’ll be leaning hard on my weekly mindful gardening activities, in and amongst work on the days I have childcare. Because even though the temptation is to max out the time I can get working while the kids are occupied. I know that if I don’t give my brain the space and quiet it needs, i’ll be an anxious mess by the end of the summer.
If you need something to help you find that headspace over the next 6 weeks then my mindful gardening activities are perfect.
Come and try out this week’s activities alongside support from me and other women doing the juggle too.
