It hit me like a lightning bolt.
Sat underneath the grapevine in my garden yesterday morning chatting to the wonderful Jane from Quiet the Hive for her podcast (will share the Ep when its out at the end of September) I unfuddled a lot of the things i’d been fuddled about with my business perhaps since its conception in 2018.
Fuck- thats a long time to be confused.
It was like the fog lifted and suddenly I could see exactly what I do so crystal clearly.
I remove the barriers to gardening for busy women:
Time- 5, 20 or 60 minute mindful gardening activities that fit into your daily life delivered weekly straight to your inbox when you become a paid subscriber to the Seed.
Knowledge- my signature mindful gardening and floristry for wellbeing course inside The Mindful Gardening Club takes you from designing your garden to all the skills you could need to get it growing well.
Overwhelm- Simple activities you can just get out and do and 1:1 sessions (one off, or ongoing support) that give you a clear action plan to create a garden that you love to spend time in gardening for your wellbeing.
Perhaps its because in the last few days i’ve shared my passion for mindful gardening so freely in a workshop at Wellbeing by the lakes, chatted to Jane about why gardening is so much more than gardening and pitched to a journalist about how Mindful gardening can really make a difference in women’s lives when they don’t get a lot of time for them.
I’ve had this buzz of energy coursing through my veins in the last few days, and that’s not just because I’ve come up with a new service (god know my ADHD brain loves some creativity and newness). Click here if you want a sneak peek.
I think it’s because talking helps, an interaction between women exploring and diving in to a topic together helps all those involved to get some clarity, to get it straight in their head. Do you find talking to other women helps you to unstick a stuck situation? Let me know in the comments.
It’s why i’ve added a live Q&A session to this live taught round of my signature gardening and floristry for wellbeing course inside The Mindful Gardening Club. So that when we come together I can help the women in the club get unstuck from their problem, whether that be where to plant a particular plant so it thrives or how the hell they carve out time for them to garden in a life that is already so full of other things.
It’s no secret that I’m a huge advocate for talking therapy and I have merrily trotted off to a therapist a number of times over the last few years so that they can help me work through some of the things they have struggled with.
But it was spending time tending my garden that helped me to have the headspace and self-awareness to actually realise I needed to talk to someone.
So if you brain feels like it might explode at any minute from all the thing fighting for space in there.
I encourage you to go out into your garden and try one of this weeks mindful gardening activities.
I can bet you you wont feel worse afterwards and maybe it’ll help you get some clarity.
As ever if you need some more support in creating a garden you adore, then I’m here to help, just reply to me here and let’s work out what level of support would work for best for your garden goals!
