the Seed: practical tips and insights into growing your garden and your power
Youâre deeply aware that nature is healing and you want to experience that through gardening.
But every time youâve gone to start you catch yourself thinking "What if I do it wrong?" or "I donât have a green thumb."
You want to garden but you feel like itâs something "other people" are naturally good at.
You love the idea of gardening with others rather than figuring it out alone.
Right now youâre feeling:
- Overwhelmed by gardening jargon and technical terms.
- Isolated and craving a supportive space where itâs okay to ask âsillyâ questions.
Perhaps youâve even gardened before but things didnât go to plan and so youâve told yourself the story that youâre ânot a gardenerâ.
Hi, if youâre new to my world, Iâm Kendall, a nearly 40 year old mother of 2 wild and wonderful little girls, Horticultural therapist & recovering over-giver on a mission to bring the healing power of nature to YOUR garden.
I share practical gardening tips & insights into how I fit gardening into my busy life. So that you can begin to use your garden to cultivate personal power in a world that often leaves women feeling exhausted & burnt out.
Because your garden should be a source of strength, not stress. Itâs time to slow down so you can power up.
Come and take small meaningful actions to build your gardening confidence, quiet your mind and reduce overwhelm- one plant at a time.
In a world in which you feel like you need to be an expert before you can even begin is it any wonder youâre so disconnected from yourself and the natural world and utterly addicted to scrolling on the internet for otherâs advice. We are constantly outsourcing our power to others. Itâs time to change that.
Iâm here to encourage and remind you that gardening isnât about perfectionâitâs about connection.
Itâs time to take our power back by getting our hands in the soil.

Why this matters
Because weâre all fucking exhausted and yet no one is coming to rescue us. Those Disney bastards were lying to us all along.
The Burnout report published in 2024 reported that 94% of women had felt under extreme pressure or stress in the past year.
We are the only ones who can make sure that this doesnât become the norm by taking care of ourselves first, by slowing down and connecting with Nature right outside our back doors.
By starting to take up space in our gardens, by rebelling against the societal narratives that we are only worthy when we are producing and that to be a âgoodâ woman we must give everything we have to others.
The Seed encourages you to start with just 5 minutes in your garden a day, taking time to clear your mind as you sow some seeds or rage weed your borders (yes itâs a thing!).
Ready to get started?
Yay! See you in there, weâve got a rebellion to start!
Kendall x
