Why a day at the spa doesn't make you feel like yourself again
I love a day at the spa for the space it gives me. In fact I went just last week.
But a few years ago now I noticed a day switching off from life wasn’t making me feel as restored, rested and relaxed as I wanted it to.
The next day once I was back in the real world, I still felt depleted. Perhaps you’ve felt like that too?
This is not because you’re doing too little for yourself, but because you don’t have a restorative rhythm.
And no, therapy, journalling or even weekly spa trips won’t fix that.
Those practices help in the moment, but they’re pauses, not patterns that reset your nervous system from the inside out.
If your nervous system doesn’t have anything to anchor into daily, you’ll keep chasing peace like it’s something you have to earn or escape to
That’s why when you work with me we build it into your everyday environment.
Not wellness as a performance, but as a rhythm that restores you daily without effort.
Inside the Seed, my membership here on Substack or in my 1:1 programme Seasonal Sanctuary, we turn your garden into that rhythm.
And create a garden sanctuary that doesn’t just look good – it regulates your mood, inspires and holds you in the present.
Because you deserve more than a day ‘off’ from the grind.
You deserve a baseline of joy, beauty and peace. A place where you can come back to yourself every day.
👉 Book your season now. Or create your year round sanctuary.
I have 3 spaces to start this month so your garden grows as your sense of peace expands.
Of if you prefer to grow in community come and join the Seed.

I think that's so true Kendall - it's the same reason why going on holiday doesn't always have the intended effect, cos you're returning to the same shit you left. They're all sticking plasters, but don't fix the wound!
